Currentzis: Opernwelt’s Conductor of the Year
Teodor Currentzis has been named Conductor of the Year by Opernwelt for his interpretation of Verdi’s Macbeth in Zurich earlier this year. Opernwelt said “The success of this production would be unthinkable without Teodor Currentzis’ radical interpretation of Verdi’s score.” Director of the production, Barrie Kosky, also won Director of the Year.
