Teodor Currentzis not only maintains the image of the rocker, which lets him fire up, but he is also an eminently musical person who understands the sound completely out of the movement impulse. The baroque ensemble of the Zurich Opera settled in a remarkable way with this free-spirited master of ceremonies. It willingly followed his staging and transformed his sweeping gestures in a rich musical output.
